Farnsworth Group is seeking a SUE/Utilities Engineer in the posting location below. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects based around Utility Coordination and Subsurface Utility Engineering comprised of conflict analysis, utility mapping, field designation and development of utility reports. This is an excellent opportunity to increase your knowledge base and experience in the energy and utility industry.

Responsibilities- Provide technical support as part of an engineering team on projects reporting directly to Farnsworth Group's project manager
- Field support – provide utility designation services by identifying, locating and mapping underground utilities in the field to create a 2D map
- Project execution – provide technical and design support for the development of utility drawings
- Project coordination with various project team stakeholders including client representatives, internal departments (e.g., survey, CAD), subcontractors, subconsultants, and other Energy and Utility team members
- Utility coordination – work with 3rd parties to communicate impacts and necessary modifications to existing infrastructure
- Observe construction at field locations to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
- BS in Civil Engineering (or related Engineering degree), from an ABET accredited institution
- 3-5 years of experience in the utility industry
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration is a plus
- Computer proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Micro Station
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel and possess a valid driver's license
- Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 25 pounds

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity. Typical range: $80,000 - $100,000.
