Fiber Optic Engineer

Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software like Siemens NX or Solid Works to support product development and engineering projects.
• Develop and update 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD software like Siemens NX, Solid Works, and other related tools.
• Interpret engineering requirements and translate them into accurate CAD designs.
• Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design challenges and optimize manufacturability.
• Prepare and manage CAD files for prototyping, tooling, and production.
• Support design reviews and provide technical input on design feasibility.
• Ensure proper version control and data management within PLM systems.
• Lead in creating BOMs and supporting documentation for manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of fiber optics, wave optics, and photonics principles.
• Basic proficiency in Zemax/Optic Studio for optical modelling or Solid Works for mechanical integration.
• Familiarity with parametric design and feature‑based modelling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with tolerances.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• English CET 6 or above, or equivalent. Proficient in reading and writing, and adequate in verbal communication.
