Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer to be based out of Lisle, IL. The successful candidate will have a background in environmental engineering and a successful work history in environmental investigations and environmental site remediation of chemically contaminated sites.
Please note:
This role is a part time role, 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Provides project and task support, including data analysis, report writing, assisting with cost estimating, remedial plan preparation, and design support.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Serves as task lead for environmental projects working under the supervision of a Project Manager or Project Engineer and coordinates efforts of support staff.
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
Works with a team to develop proposed approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods previously developed.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations.
Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Qualified candidates must be comfortable with travel and fieldwork support.
