In a NutshellThe Wealth Manager will report to Retirement Plan Practice Leader and play a critical role in helping 401(k) participants and individual clients achieve their financial goals. This is a client-facing, growth-oriented position designed for someone who thrives in prospecting, financial planning, and relationship management — with a clear path to leadership.
What You Will Be Doing- Conduct 401(k) group meetings and provide individual consultations to participants.
- Prospect new clients, build relationships, and grow AUM (assets under management) using networking, referrals, outbound outreach, and joint strategy with sales leadership.
- Provide holistic financial guidance including asset management, financial planning, and estate planning.
- Monitor client portfolios, perform periodic reviews, and make adjustments based on client goals, market changes, or life events
- Coordinate with internal teams (compliance, operations, benefits, insurance) to deliver seamless client service and support
- Maintain regulatory compliance (licenses, reporting, fiduciary standards, U4s) and keep client records up to date
- Deliver high-quality service and develop trusted, long‑term client relationships.
- Leverage financial planning software, risk analysis tools, and Microsoft products to support clients.
- Work toward leadership responsibilities as the role grows.
- 3 months: Fully onboarded; strong understanding of CGO processes, procedures, and product knowledge.
- 6 months: Demonstrated success in prospecting and initial AUM growth through client acquisition.
- 12 months: Achieve $10–20 million in AUM; established book of clients and positioned for leadership growth.
- Series 6 or 7 license.
- Minimum 5 years of wealth management experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Familiarity with financial planning software and risk analysis tools.
- Existing book of business.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Clean U4.
- Demonstrated track record of success in wealth management or financial advising roles.
$90,000 - $130,000 (Commission based)
