The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Human Resources function at DCC Propane. This role assists with employee onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, compliance activities, employee communications, and various HR programs. The HR Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for employees and helps ensure a positive and professional employee experience.
Core Duties /Key Responsibilities Employee Onboarding
- Prepare onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Support HR onboarding and employee transition activities
- Assist with employee data collection and compliance documentation during integrations
- Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Assist employees with benefit-related questions and documentation.
- Support employees with LOA paperwork and tracking.
- Ensure employee records comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in generating HR reports and workforce analytics.
- Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist with employee recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
- Escalate employee relations concerts to appropriate HR leader.
- Support investigations through document collection and tracking.
- Assist in drafting, proofreading, and distributing internal employee communications, including HR announcements, policy updates, reminders, and company wide messages.
- Coordinate communication timelines and ensure messages are clear, accurate, timely, and aligned with company tone and HR priorities.
- Support communication efforts related to employee programs, benefits, training, engagement initiatives, and organizational updates.
- Maintain templates, distribution lists, and communication records to support consistent and effective employee messaging.
- Assist with compliance related to federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support audit requests and compliance reporting requirements.
- Maintain required labor law postings and policy acknowledgments.
- Coordinate training schedules, registrations, and attendance tracking.
- Ensure internal LMS employee information is current and always up to date.
- Maintain employee training records and certifications.
- Support company development and performance management programs.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
Required Work Experience- 2-4 years of Human Resources, administrative or related experience
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
- Experience supporting a multi-location operation preferred
Microsoft Applications:
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Additional Technology:
Exceptional phone skills and computer literacy
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally
- Ability to always work with respect and cooperation with fellow employees
