The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing application components while ensuring adherence to coding standards, development processes, and project timelines.

This role involves interpreting design specifications, writing high-quality code, validating solutions with users, optimizing technical choices, managing defects, supporting testing processes, and contributing to documentation, design, and configuration activities.

The Senior Developer will also mentor team members, support customer interactions, and contribute to effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret application, feature, and component designs and develop solutions according to specifications.
  • Code, debug, test, and document product components and features.
  • Validate development results with user representatives and support solution integration.
  • Select appropriate technical approaches, including reuse, reconfiguration, or creation of components.
  • Optimize application efficiency, quality, and development cost.
  • Improve customer satisfaction through reliable deliverables and effective communication.
  • Set and track FAST goals for self and team.
  • Follow coding standards, templates, and checklists; review code for peers and team members.
  • Create or review design documents, requirements, templates, guidelines, and test documentation.
  • Define and govern configuration management plans and ensure compliance.
  • Review and create unit test scenarios; support test planning and clarify requirements for testing teams.
  • Advise developers with domain-relevant insights and deepen understanding of customer requirements.
  • Manage delivery of modules or user stories and coordinate project tasks.
  • Perform defect root-cause analysis, implement mitigations, and identify defect trends.
  • Provide effort estimations and participate in project planning.
  • Contribute to project knowledge repositories and review reusable documentation.
  • Execute and monitor release activities.
  • Contribute to high-level and low-level design, architecture, and data models.
  • Interact with customers to clarify requirements, present design options, and conduct demos.
  • Mentor team members, support career aspirations, and maintain engagement.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle, design principles, and coding best practices.
  • Experience designing and developing software components, user interfaces, and data models.
  • Proficiency with relevant programming languages and multiple technology skill clusters.
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis, handling defects, and improving quality processes.
  • Ability to break down complex problems logically and produce reliable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and facilitate planning activities.
  • Experience estimating time, effort, and resource needs for development tasks.
  • Experience working with configuration management, IDE tools, modeling languages, and RAD tools.
  • Knowledge of operating systems, DBMS, and integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading teams or managing delivery of modules/user stories.
  • Knowledge of customer domain and business processes.
  • Experience creating technical presentations and leading customer discussions.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and maintain high team motivation levels.
  • Experience supporting release cycles, debugging in target environments, and evaluating test outcomes.
Certifications
  • Relevant domain or technology certifications.
