Job Description:
The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and customer compliance programs, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. This role will involve close collaboration with ownership, sales staff, and on-site crews.
- Develop, implement and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety, audits, and inspections
- Investigate incidents and accidents and implement proper actions
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal safety regulations.
- Collaborate with management to promote a safe working environment
- Administer and maintain functions related to the workers compensation program
- Partner with departments to Foster collaborative work environment
- Manage other daily tasks related to job sites and smooth job performance.
- Based in Grafton, Wisconsin with travel required to project sites located throughout southeast Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, in environmental science or a related field.
- OSHA 30 certification or similar certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, dealing with both office and field staff
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of the organization.
