POC Assembler - Lisle, IL

This role offers the opportunity to perform fine, hands-on assembly work in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. You will follow detailed written and verbal instructions, support both production and new product development, and contribute to the smooth operation of point-of-care (POC) product assembly. The position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot basic issues, and the confidence to participate in technical discussions related to product and process improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform fine hand assembly operations with precision, completing multiple tasks at low volumes while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal assembly instructions accurately to ensure products meet defined specifications and control plans.
  • Support both ongoing production and new product development activities, shifting between tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate hand presses, small machines, and machine/human interfaces safely and efficiently as part of the assembly process.
  • Read and interpret technical prints and follow control plans to take basic measurements and verify product conformance.
  • Use hand tools and related equipment to perform assembly, wiring, and soldering tasks as required by the product design.
  • Identify and resolve basic assembly issues using established troubleshooting techniques to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Participate in technical discussions related to product and POC assembly processes, providing input on issues and improvements.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks for 8–10 hours while maintaining focus and accuracy.
  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the plant and provide assistance to other departments as needed to support overall production demands.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6 months of experience in assembly or a closely related hands-on production role.
  • Proficiency in fine hand assembly work with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical prints and follow control plans.
  • Experience using hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Basic understanding of electrical assembly, including wiring and soldering.
  • Ability to operate hand presses, small machines, and machine/human interfaces safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve basic assembly issues.
  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive work for 8–10 hours per shift.
  • Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
