We are currently seeking a highly experienced Commercial AV Field Technician with a strong background in Access systems, camera installations, and large multi-phase AV projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on high-profile job sites, managing complex installations, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Position Overview As a Commercial AV Field Technician, you will be responsible for the hands-on installation, setup, and servicing of AV systems—including PTI access control systems, IP-based camera networks, digital signage, audio systems, and control platforms. You’ll work on some of our largest commercial jobs, collaborating with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, coax, speaker, and control wiring)
• Deploy and configure PTI systems, access control panels, and user interfaces
• Install and aim IP surveillance cameras, NVRs, and camera monitoring systems
• Mount and wire displays, projectors, touch panels, microphones, speakers, and racks
• Read and interpret schematics, floor plans, and elevation drawings for large jobs
• Coordinate with on-site stakeholders to align with job site timelines and milestones
• Perform system-level testing, commissioning, and client handoff
• Provide technical support and service on installed systems as needed
• Maintain detailed records, including installation photos, service logs, and redlines

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in commercial AV field installation and service
• Hands-on experience with PTI systems, camera installations, and access control hardware
• Proven track record working on large-scale AV projects across multiple trades
• Strong understanding of AV signal flow, rack assembly, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with systems from Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, and similar brands
• Comfortable working at heights, in active construction zones, and using lifts/ ladders
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Certification or training with PTI Security Systems, Hikvision, Axis, or similar camera platforms
• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification
• Experience with AV-over-IP, VLANs, and network infrastructure
• OSHA 10/30 certification
• Ability to lead small crews or act as site lead on large installations
