Overview
The Opportunity:
You will contribute across multiple levels of software development including firmware, device drivers, RTOS and application software. Join a team solving complex networking and communications challenges for the U.S. Federal Government and help deliver advanced networking solutions that support mission success for CACI customers.
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain complex software solutions in telecommunications and IP/computer networking equipment in the cybersecurity domain
- Collaborate with a product development team to explore concepts, address user requests, and assess feasibility of solutions
- Consult on technical activities spanning security analysis, software/tool development, software testing, lab environment, development environment, and system infrastructure
- Serve as the technical liaison to customers and represent key issues
- Operate effectively in a team environment, capable of working as a team member and, when needed, a team leader; work across organizational boundaries
- Assist technical management in facilitating process changes to meet customer quality and schedule requirements
- Interact with product development teams, project managers, and partners
- Prioritize work, meet schedules, identify risks, and deliver high-quality software
- Understand and adhere to CACI Ethical and Compliance policies
- Proactively ensure a safe work environment and follow CACI EH&S policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as required
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
- Familiarity with development on Windows, Linux, and/or Unix-based operating systems
- Software development skills in languages such as C, C++, Python or comparable languages
- Experience with development tools (editors and compilers)
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Familiarity with software security concepts such as intrusion detection, cryptography, authentication, firewalls, secure coding practices
- Understanding of network hardware, systems and software applications
- Knowledge of Internet routing protocols, TCP/IP stack and tools
- Experience developing software for embedded systems
- Familiarity with multi-threaded applications and multi-processor systems
- Familiarity with low-level programming such as device-driver and OS programming
- Understanding of processor architectures (ARM, MIPS, x86, PowerPC) and associated assembly language programming
- Experience with reverse engineering of binary applications, protocols and formats
- Experience debugging system-level issues with lab equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to new and changing environments
- Knowledge of telephony
- Familiarity with software engineering process concepts from requirements reviews to component delivery and sign-off
- Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required
There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Pay RangeThe final salary is influenced by factors including location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer competitive compensation, benefits and learning opportunities, including healthcare, wellness, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off.
The proposed salary range for this position is: $90,300 - $189,600 USD
