ACCESS Middle & High School is a grade 8-12 outplacement program for students receiving special education services who experience emotional, social and behavioral obstacles. The school offers small class sizes and high staff to student ratios to provide the supervision, instruction and individualized feedback to help students grow academically and personally. Students at ACCESS Middle & High School receive integrated behavioral and academic instruction from a multi-disciplinary team of certified content and special education teachers, school social worker and counselor, BCBA and registered behavior technicians.

* Provide strong instructional practices in literacy, aligned to curriculum standards

* Active Connecticut Certification in Language Arts (#015)

* Ability to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required

* Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this job

* Preference for those who hold an active Special Education Certification (#065, #165, #265) or are pursuing cross-endorsement
