Schedule: Depending on the shift, hours are either 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

Job Summary

At Superior, we rely on our Service Technicians to keep both our equipment and our customers moving forward. As a Rental Equipment Service Technician / Field Service Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe, efficient, and customer-focused manner. This role offers the opportunity to challenge yourself daily and grow into higher-level technician or leadership positions within our Service Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on rental equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
  • Travel to customer job sites to service rental and customer-owned equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service vehicle
  • Support and assist in training entry-level technicians as needed
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork and electronic work orders in a timely manner

    Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet and maintain DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements, including passing a DOT physical and maintaining a valid medical card
  • 3–5 years of experience in equipment or tool repair and maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Experience working with various engines (diesel preferred)
  • Must own tools relevant to the position
  • Strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
