Senior Estimator Electrical Construction Data Center

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is hiring a full‑time Senior Electrical Construction Estimator‑Data Center in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

• Prepares cost estimates for all aspects of electrical construction projects from $20M–$100M using construction plans and specifications in accordance with company estimating guidelines and industry standards.
• Writes proposals that accurately and completely capture the scope of work and the associated costs.
• Leads the proposal review process to ensure management has all appropriate documentation on estimates before release to the customer.
• Serves as front‑line point‑of‑contact on behalf of the company in estimating efforts and developing new customers.
• Leads estimators and preconstruction team members in developing estimates and proposals.
• Leads development and implementation of estimating standards and best practices.
• Completes estimates and proposals for projects ranging from plans and specifications, design‑build, design‑assist, through early‑stage budgets.
• Coordinates total estimating effort relevant to particular bids/projects as assigned.
• Negotiates with vendors to ensure quality and lowest cost on bid items.
• Supports other department personnel as needed, including preparing estimates in other disciplines and assisting project managers with start‑up and change‑order costs.
• Ensures all estimates are accurate, complete, and meet company requirements before submission.
• Works on‑site, in‑office, and travels to other projects as required.

• 8+ years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering in the commercial or industrial electrical construction industry.
• Experience in data center and Accubid.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Design‑build quality project experience preferred.
• Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with complex project management and construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data, read and comprehend blueprints.
• Understanding of cost and schedule impacts on projects.
• Working knowledge of commercial or industrial building codes and related systems/controls.
• Strong math, reading, organizational, and analytical/critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and mentor.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Successful background check and MVR check after offer.
