Senior Electrical Project Manager - Data Center
, Richmond, Virginia.
Provides overall management in all phases of construction for one or more Data Center electrical projects and develops new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, group of Clients or geographical area.
Responsibilities- Manages projects in a manner that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures that our work adheres to NEC, company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.
- Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
- Represents company in project meetings and assists in labor negotiations, strategy meetings.
- Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintains good relationship with clients.
- Manages the project team to ensure that project delivery meets the expectations of the client as well as IES.
- Performs takeoffs and price change orders and project related quotes.
- Works closely with the Project Executive to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting.
- Work required to be performed at the Project Site.
- 8 or more years’ electrical construction project management experience in all phases of electrical projects $20-$100M including mission critical, ground-up construction, and remodeling.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
- Data Center experience is required.
- Hyperscale Data Center experience preferred.
- Valid Electrical License on the Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.
- Proficient computer, communications (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Detailed understanding of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project tracking.
- Detailed understanding of billing and financial reporting.
- Business knowledge of vendors in respective electrical construction industry.
- Proficient in Accubid, Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM
360, MS Project, P6 and other industry standard software. - Ability to travel as required.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
