AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers and collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security.

• Provide full life‑cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.
• Serve as the go‑to engineering resource for your region, offering technical advice and engaging with diverse teams.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Directly support operational issues with ad‑hoc training, procedure reviews, and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design‑solutions, adding capacity, improving availability, increasing efficiency and sustainability.
• Interface with internal teams (operations, design engineering, server hardware, environmental health & safety) to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS’s data centers.
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
• Initiate and lead engineering audits, including on‑site visits, reporting risks and recommending mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid and active driver’s license.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial, municipal, or commercial engineering (data centers, power generation, oil & gas facilities).
• Strong engineering judgment and ability to provide recommendations under uncertainty.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail, and high quality standards.
• Leadership, problem‑solving, and data‑oriented mindset.
• Experience managing engineering projects and consultants.
• Ability to work on office and field tasks.

• Experience as resident engineer or hands‑on design consultant/owner’s engineer.
• Ability to carry design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment used in data centers.
• Data analytics, querying, and scripting skills.
• Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission‑critical facilities.

Salary range:  -  USD annually.
