Network Install Technician, Infrastructure Delivery

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role supports AWS data centers by maintaining the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable continuous customer access.
Key Responsibilities- Move and install large enterprise equipment.
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment.
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation.
- Follow established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities.
- Use material handling tools and equipment safely.
Traveling within and outside the regional work area is required. Candidates must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment, participating in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, or Data Center Operations.
- Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA, CCENT, or Network+.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
