Our client, one of the world's most innovative medtech companies is looking for an Associate Technician for their Lithia Springs location. Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and documenting returned devices to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role supports Technical Services by diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing repairs, maintaining accurate service records, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver timely, high-quality customer support.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, diagnose, and repair CPAP, APAP, and related medical devices using approved service manuals, diagnostic software, and testing equipment.
- Diagnose hardware and software failures to the sub-assembly level and perform repairs in accordance with company specifications.
- Document technical findings, customer-reported issues, repair actions, and recommended resolutions within the complaint tracking system.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company policies, safety procedures, and complaint handling processes.
- Verify service eligibility and escalate complex technical issues or returned products requiring further investigation.
- Support post-design activities, including product maintenance, software updates, testing, and engineering evaluations.
- Provide technical support and product expertise to internal teams and external customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Meet productivity, quality, and service turnaround time goals while supporting customer SLAs.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of technical education, electronics certification, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in a technical service environment.
- 1+ year of experience troubleshooting, repairing, or servicing electronic, electromechanical products.
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose failures and perform component-level repairs.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, flow meters, manometers, oscilloscopes, or similar electronic test equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, service documentation, and operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge of FDA, ISO, GMP, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices preferred.
- Medical device industry experience strongly preferred.
