Our client, a leading player in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician
- Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the technical support team, ensuring the smooth operation of data center activities. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Lithia Springs, GA
Duration:18 Months on W2
Pay Range: $28-$30/hour + Benefits & PTO
Shift Schedule:
Wed-Sat 6am-6pm alternating wednesdays
Responsibilities:
- Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning
- Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
- Perform DBD (data-bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)
- Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads
- Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures
- Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays
