The Regional Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory strategy, accuracy, and optimization across a regional hub-and-spoke distribution network consisting of regional distribution centers. This role ensures the right inventory is positioned in the right locations to support customer service objectives, operational efficiency, and working capital targets. This position partners closely with Supply Chain, Transportation, Procurement, Operations, and Sales teams to maintain optimal inventory flow between the regional hub and spoke facilities while minimizing stockouts, excess inventory, space, inventory accuracy and obsolescence.

  • Lead inventory planning and control activities across five regional distribution centers operating within a hub-and-spoke supply model.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies that balance service levels, inventory investment and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory health metrics including turns, fill rate, aging inventory, stockouts, excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Optimize replenishment parameters, safety stock levels, reorder points and allocation logic across the network.
  • Coordinate inventory movement between hub and spoke facilities to ensure efficient product availability and transportation utilization.
  • Partner with Demand Planning and Procurement teams to align inventory positioning with forecasted demand and supply constraints.
  • Drive cycle count programs, physical inventory processes and inventory accuracy initiatives across all locations.
  • Analyze inventory trends and develop corrective action plans to improve performance and reduce working capital exposure.
  • Lead root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies, service failures and fulfillment issues and corrective action plan.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center leadership to improve inventory handling processes and storage optimization.
  • Ability to lead through influence across multiple facilities and functional teams.
  • Support new product launches, seasonal inventory builds and network transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory controls and audit requirements.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within inventory management and distribution operations.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management or related field preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of inventory management, supply chain or distribution experience.
  • Experience managing inventory within a multi‑site distribution environment required.
  • Experience with hub‑and‑spoke distribution models strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP/WMS systems.
  • Experience with inventory planning methodologies including safety stock optimization and replenishment planning.
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional relationships and influence operational outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several locations.
  • APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Must be able to work alone and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
