CE Facility Support – Mechanical

Description

The Critical Environment Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of centrifugal chiller systems in mission‑critical environments. This role requires understanding in chillers and a strong understanding of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance protocols.

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on centrifugal chillers, with emphasis on Trane systems.
• Conduct eddy current testing on condenser and evaporator tubes as part of biennial/triennial maintenance routines.
• Monitor evaporator approach temperatures, refrigerant levels, and system performance using integrated control panels.
• Document irregularities and escalate issues per global maintenance standards.
• Collaborate with CE Managers and site teams to ensure chiller systems meet operational and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records in CMMS and change management systems.

• Minimum 2 years of experience with centrifugal chillers, including Trane systems.
• Familiarity with variable speed drives (VSD/VFD) and associated maintenance procedures.
• Certification in mechanical systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mechanical diagnostics, fluid dynamics, and heat exchange principles.
• Experience in data center operations or other critical infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work independently and escalation issues appropriately.

• All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA‑approved NFPA 70E Certification.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ year(s) experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environment such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include weekends.
• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• SHIFT – This will begin on a Monday-Thursday 8‑5:30 pm shift with flexibility to work nights. In the long term this could shift to something else so they will need to be semi‑flexible in the future.

Shift: 3 total spots, 1 Tech working Day side A Shift, 2 working B side day shift.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $48.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lithia Springs, GA.
