Your Responsibilities- Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies.
- Set-up and operate piston rod saws.
- Set-up and operate tie rod shear and thread rolling operation.
- Perform daily tasks to produce parts, including but not limited to, loading/unloading equipment, gathering materials/components, and positioning work area.
- Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and basic measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Perform visual inspection of parts and basic ring gauge verification. Reviews basic blueprints/diagrams to ensure components are being manufactured in accordance with the part specification.
- Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
- Deals ethically with Parker’s customers, suppliers, fellow associates and the general public.
- Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.
- Maintains work areas by cleaning and organizing the space and equipment.
- Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic math skills required.
- Basic understanding of gauging / measuring devices required.
- Basic blueprint understanding required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
- 2 years of previous machining experience preferred.

- Attractive compensation packages designed to hire and retain the best talents in the industry. The starting rate for this position is $23.41/hour and goes up to $28.06/hour. While on second shift, a $1.00/hour shift premium is available.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception.
This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
