Machine Operator

Job Details

Base pay $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Shift: Rotating - 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM.

• Operates machine and instructs line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements.
• Supports company core values, participates in a safe work environment, and completes observations.
• Inspects equipment for safety.
• Reads and understands a production order.
• Meets company productivity requirements.
• Meets company and customer quality requirements.
• Uses forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials; completes proper documentation for materials produced.
• Maintains good communication with team, supervisor, and management.
• Maintains promotability to Operator II and Operator III.
• Stands and walks 8 to 12 hours every day.
• Repetitive climbing on and off equipment and ladders.
• Works in varying and extreme outside conditions (hot, cold, rain, shine).

• 1 year of experience – understands and is competent in all aspects of safe and efficient operation.
• Experience with line equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Detail- and quality-oriented.
• Demonstrated dependability and energetic disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, internet, Excel, Word).
• Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns.
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Forklift and crane experience a plus – must be trainable.
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.
