Quality Intern

The primary scope of work for the Quality Assurance Internship will be providing assistance to the Quality team at Lithia Springs to execute critical projects for the Quality Assurance area. The position will develop Quality Inspection documents and load inspection parameters into the coordinate measuring machine. The position will be supervised by the Quality and Process Engineering Manager.

• Updating/expanding on existing QA documentation
• Creating inspection plans in preparation for new ERP system migration (example: incoming inspection plans), Coordinate Measuring Machine, and production inspection documents
• Creating training materials for the various groups
• Support the implementation of quality projects
• Audit the various processes to make sure in compliance with ISO 9001 Requirements
• Record keeping for gauge control system
• Adheres to site safety policies and tracks progress on safety improvements
• Other relevant projects as designated by Quality Director

• Must be an active current student attending a college or university
• Prefer computer science, engineering or other technical field of study
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results‑oriented, challenging environment
• Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team building skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365 programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Problem solving and decision‑making skills
• Self‑motivated and a self‑starter

• Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills
• Must have exceptional initiative, positive approach, enthusiasm, accountability
• Must be independent, learn new concepts quickly and work with minimal supervision
• Must keep department manager informed of results, key information, and issues
• Demonstrates integrity in all business activities with internal and external customers
• Demonstrates a consistent level of attention to detail
