• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5–10 years of distribution engineering experience in utility or power distribution environments.

• Experience with distribution system design, including load flow analysis, voltage drop calculations, and network optimization.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience developing engineering training materials and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with utility safety standards and quality management systems.

• Experience supporting engineering process improvements and continuous learning initiatives.

The Engineer II (Distribution) serves as a Technical Trainer responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for distribution engineering teams. This role combines hands‑on distribution engineering expertise with instructional leadership to strengthen technical capabilities across the organization.

The successful candidate will develop engaging training materials, facilitate technical learning sessions, mentor engineers, and reinforce engineering standards related to distribution system design, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a key role in building a knowledgeable and high‑performing engineering workforce.

• Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training programs for distribution engineering teams.
• Create instructional materials, presentations, engineering guides, and technical documentation.
• Lead classroom, virtual, and hands‑on technical training sessions.
• Translate complex engineering concepts into practical and easy‑to‑understand learning content.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve curriculum based on participant feedback.
• Provide instruction on electrical distribution engineering standards and best practices.
• Train engineers on distribution system design, including load flow analysis, voltage drop calculations, and network optimization.
• Reinforce compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support engineering documentation, project execution, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Mentor and coach engineers to enhance technical knowledge and professional development.
• Provide guidance on engineering design principles, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving techniques.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous technical learning throughout the organization.

• Assist in developing standardized engineering processes and training resources.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals and engineering standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering.
• Previous experience delivering technical training, mentoring, or coaching engineers.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, engineering standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as required.
