• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

• Strong knowledge of GPC distribution engineering standards and distribution system design.
• Experience with load flow analysis, voltage drop calculations, and network optimization.
• Thorough understanding of electrical distribution systems, engineering best practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex engineering concepts into engaging training content.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.

• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Experience developing engineering training curriculum and instructional materials.
• Knowledge of utility safety standards and quality management practices.
• Experience supporting engineering process improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Previous experience working with electric utility training programs.

The GPC Distribution Engineer – Technical Trainer (Engineer II – Distribution) is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs that support the professional development of distribution engineering teams. This role combines extensive hands‑on distribution engineering experience with instructional expertise to ensure engineers are trained on GPC standards, distribution system design principles, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will mentor engineering professionals, develop engaging training materials, facilitate classroom and field-based learning, and continuously improve training effectiveness to support a highly skilled engineering workforce.

• Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training programs for distribution engineering teams.
• Design engaging curriculum, instructional materials, presentations, and learning resources.
• Facilitate classroom, virtual, and field-based technical training sessions.
• Translate complex engineering concepts into practical, easy-to-understand training content.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning programs based on participant feedback.
• Provide technical instruction on GPC distribution engineering standards and best practices.
• Train engineers on electrical distribution system design, including load flow, voltage drop analysis, and network optimization.
• Reinforce engineering documentation standards, project execution practices, and quality expectations.
• Promote compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company engineering standards.
