TIG Welder in Lithonia

Job Description

Qualified Staffing is currently in search of a TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in Lithonia, GA. This is a full-time, day shift, temp‑to‑perm position.

Schedule:

Mon‑Fri 7:00 am‑3:30 pm. Pay: $22‑$24 based on experience.

• Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless‑steel parts with TIG welding equipment.
• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench of floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
• Select torch, torch tips, filler rod and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal being welded.
• Connect regulator valves and hoses to gas cylinders and welding torches.
• Adjust regulator valves and perform welding operations.
• Examine welds for bead size and other specifications.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter.
• Clean and degrease parts as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• One year certificate from college or technical school.
• 1+ years related welding experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, blueprints, and layouts.
