Finishing Operator

About the Role

Trojan Battery Company is looking for a Finishing Operator (3rd shift) with a passion for quality excellence and commitment to product accuracy. The role ensures batteries are filled with correct chemicals, washed, stacked, and wrapped for shipping while maintaining safety and PPE compliance.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Correctly file all possible corrective arc issues using proper tools.
• Properly disposition defective batteries to MRB.
• Operate hydrometer during disposition testing.
• Stack batteries on pallets in configuration according to work order.
• Operate wrapping machine and identify malfunctions with the equipment.
• Identify arc marks, banding, and other defects on batteries, pull from conveyor and send to repair.
• Operate battery washing machine; check PH levels, replenish chemicals as needed.
• Conduct HRD testing.
• Determine which product parts and raw materials to use for various processes and packaging that meet quality requirements and standards.
• Assist in setup of automatic equipment.
• Assist in performance of preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Understand and complete all required QA reports.

• High School Diploma, GED, or greater required.
• 0-6 months manufacturing/plant experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructions.
• Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be clean shaven.
• Follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
