Maintenance Technician – Fourth Shift
Location:
Onsite in Lithonia, GA

Hours:
Friday – Monday 4:00am – 2:30pm
Hourly rate: $36.16/hr (plus $2/hr shift differential)
Two‑year earning potential: $37.63/hr after 6 months, $39.27/hr after 12 months
Responsibilities- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment by identifying issues.
- Document work orders using CMMS.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts.
- Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the building.
- Set up and operate machine tools such as grinder, lathe, drill press, cutting torches or welding equipment.
- Repairs or fabricates machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance as required and follows up with repairs.
- Supports operations with autonomous maintenance, SOPs and centerline programs for equipment.
- May operate a forklift or other piece‑in‑equipment as required.
- Follows NFPA 70, LOTO and OSHA safety rules.
- Ensures that BRC protocols are implemented and audited as required.
- Associate’s degree or two‑year certificate in Electrical Maintenance Technician, Mechatronics, or equivalent, or high school diploma with at least three years of experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC programming.
- Experience handling food production equipment including mixers, fillers, packaging lines, palletizing systems, and bulk delivery systems.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, including interpreting instructions, short correspondence, and memos; and to write simple correspondence.
- Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure).
- Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces.
- Working knowledge of Red Zone software or ability to gain it.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturday work.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicals.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; no work visa sponsorship available.
Pretends to sit, stand, walk, and move while communicating and listening effectively in both office and plant environments. Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, safely navigate stairs and ladders. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, wet/humid conditions, high places, vibration, loud noise (hearing protection required), dust, and odor.
