Urgent Care Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Lithonia, GA (Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage episodic and chronic conditions with walk‑ins and same‑day appointments as the sole advanced practice provider for ages 2 and up
  • Perform minor office procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, orthopedic splinting and related treatments
  • Perform physicals such as sports, DOT, pre‑employment, and annual
  • Evaluate patients for workers’ compensation injuries
Qualifications
  • 2+ years’ experience in providing patient care as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required
  • Master’s degree (Family Nurse Practitioner) and appropriate state license required
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations including OSHA, HIPAA, blood borne pathogens, and related compliance standards
  • Detail‑oriented and confident in medical best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competence with common PC applications, Microsoft Office and EMR applications
  • Experience with occupational health practices including DOT qualification, drug testing protocols, and physicals
  • Respect and autonomy in decision‑making
  • Team‑based approach to patient care
  • ACLS / BLS certifications (we will provide this if needed)
