This opportunity places you at the forefront of patient care in a 16-20 bed medical stepdown unit, where nurse-to-patient ratios maximize both safety and learning. You'll care for a medically complex patient population including those experiencing sepsis, heart failure, respiratory failure, hypertensive emergency, COPD, chronic kidney disease, diabetes (T2DM), substance abuse emergencies, status epilepticus, and various forms of encephalopathy. Schedule:

• 36 or 48 hour weekly contracts available

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years' recent experience in a stepdown unit
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proven capability in caring for patients with high acuity needs
• Adaptability and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal patient outcomes
• Assess, monitor, and respond to acute changes in patient condition
• Coordinate treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
