Job Overview
Senior IR Technician – Atlanta, GA
Position: IR Technical Assistant, Monday through Friday, 5×8 hour shifts. Start at 7:30 am and end when patients are finished, typically before 4:30 pm.
Schedule:
No nights, no call, no weekends. Salary: $40–$50 per hour.
- Perform vascular procedures including over‑the‑wire interventions for peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, varicose veins, uterine fibroids, and other minimally invasive IR services.
- Manage inventory and equipment setup for IR suites.
- Assist physicians during image‑guided interventions ensuring patient safety and procedural success.
- Maintain a clean, organized procedural area and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
- Prior experience as an interventional radiology technician or related clinical role.
- Proficient in over‑the‑wire techniques and vascular device handling.
- Knowledge of inventory processes and IR suite equipment.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours during the day; must comply with 7:30 am start timing.
