Pipe Layer – Heavy Civil Construction
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to support heavy civil construction projects involving underground utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. This role works closely with field crews to ensure projects are completed safely and according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
Install underground water, sewer, and storm drainage pipe
Read blueprints, grade stakes, and utility plans
Align and position pipe and fittings correctly
Prepare trenches and assist with back filling
Maintain proper pipe slope and alignment
Work safely around heavy equipment and trenches
Assist with trench safety and shoring procedures
Inspect work to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications:
Experience in underground utility or pipe installation preferred
Knowledge of trenching and grading practices
Ability to read construction plans and measurements
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Preferred
Skills:
OSHA certification
Experience with PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, or concrete pipe
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
