Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lititz, PA. This position supports the Studio Manager in day-to-day operations, including overseeing studio cleanliness and readiness, managing class schedules, and coordinating instructor coverage. The Assistant Manager provides front-desk coverage, welcomes clients, handles check-ins and payments, responds to inquiries in person, by phone, and via email, and ensures a positive client experience.
Responsibilities include basic administrative tasks, maintaining client records, supporting membership and package sales, and assisting with tracking key performance metrics such as attendance and retention. The role also involves helping to plan and execute local marketing initiatives, events, and promotions, as well as training and supporting studio staff on policies, systems, and customer service standards. The Assistant Manager is expected to be present during peak studio hours, including some evenings and weekends, and to step in for the Studio Manager as needed.
Qualifications
- Client service and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, handle questions, and resolve issues in a professional, welcoming manner.
- Organizational and administrative abilities, such as managing schedules, maintaining accurate records, and handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic sales and studio operations experience, including comfort discussing memberships, packages, and promotions, and processing payments accurately.
- Team leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to support, motivate, and coordinate staff while reinforcing studio policies and standards.
- Comfort with technology, such as studio management or booking software, email, spreadsheets, and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability, including consistent punctuality and follow-through on assigned tasks.
- Prior experience in fitness, wellness, hospitality, or retail environments is preferred; familiarity with Pilates or group fitness is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Lititz, PA, including some evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in business, fitness, or related fields are beneficial.
