Are you someone who loves bringing order to the details, solving problems before they happen, and helping projects start strong? Renovations By Garman is looking for a Preconstruction Manager who thrives in the planning phase of construction and enjoys collaborating with teams, trade partners, and suppliers to set projects up for success.
In this role, you'll play a critical part in transforming renovation projects from concept to construction‑ready. You'll develop estimates and budgets, obtain competitive pricing, manage purchasing and procurement, coordinate trade partners, and ensure every project is accurately scoped and prepared for a seamless handoff to production.
What You'll Do- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and change order pricing
- Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and purchase orders
- Analyze plans, specifications, selections, and project requirements
- Solicit and compare pricing from suppliers and trade partners
- Coordinate procurement, special orders, and long‑lead materials
- Support project teams with accurate documentation and preconstruction planning
- Identify value engineering opportunities and help manage project costs
- Collaborate with Sales, Design, Operations, Accounting, and Project Management teams
- Experience in residential construction estimating, purchasing, project management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and scopes of work
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to communication
- Experience with Builder Trend, Sage, CAD, and Microsoft Office is a plus
