Desired Experience &

Qualifications:

• Current BCBA certification or equivalent background as a Behavior Specialist
• Experience working with children in academic settings, especially those with behavioral and/or emotional needs
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training is a plus-training can be provided by the school
• Excellent communication, observation, and team collaboration skills
• Strong data analysis and intervention planning abilities
• Commitment to being present and engaged during student hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in team calls to support children experiencing behavioral challenges
• Collaborate within Autistic Support (AS) and Emotional Support (ES) classrooms, helping build tailored behavior intervention plans and modeling strategies for staff
• Conduct regular observations in general education settings to assess and address students' needs
• Provide behavioral training and guidance to school staff
• Oversee data collection, monitor progress, and offer actionable recommendations to the team
• Maintain a visible, supportive presence in the school, engaging directly with students and staff during school hours
