Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in stormwater management and land development to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, planning, and overseeing projects related to drainage systems, stormwater runoff, and land development while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create sustainable and efficient solutions for a wide range of civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop stormwater management systems including detention/retention basins, storm sewers, and water quality treatment facilities.
- Prepare land development plans, including site grading, erosion control, roadway design, and utility infrastructure.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to assess stormwater impacts on new developments and propose mitigation strategies.
- Perform site analysis and feasibility studies for land development projects.
- Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Prepare construction plans and specifications, including calculations, cost estimates, and material lists.
- Provide technical support during construction, including site inspections, reviewing contractor submittals, and resolving engineering issues.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software for design and modeling purposes.
- Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in stormwater management and land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or similar engineering software.
- Familiarity with zoning laws, environmental permitting, and local land use policies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
