Position

Purpose

The Vice President, Project Controls provides enterprise‑wide leadership of TAIT’s project controls ecosystem, spanning estimating, project scheduling, project administration, and AI‑driven historical cost intelligence. This senior‑leadership role is accountable for creating a unified, accurate, and high‑performance project controls function that supports TAIT’s global portfolio across Live, Brand, Location Based Entertainment and Placemaking markets. The role ensures TAIT delivers predictable projects, improves margin protection, strengthens cost management discipline, and enables leaders to make data‑driven decisions.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities Core Leadership Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end estimating review process ensuring accuracy, clarity of scope, alignment with historical data, and consistent market assumptions.
  • Lead the design and rollout of TAIT’s new global estimating/cost control process, templates, standards, and review methodology.
  • Lead and evolve the project scheduling and project administration functions to ensure consistent global practices, capacity transparency, and predictable delivery.
  • Develop and implement project controls KPIs, dashboards, reporting cadence, and analytics (forecast accuracy, schedule performance, utilization, cost performance, risk indicators).
  • Serve as enterprise decision maker for CPQ/PSA/ERP systems—including selection, configuration, integration strategy, and governance.
Strategic Responsibilities
  • Build and run the AI process for extracting and modeling historical cost trends, enabling data‑driven estimating, benchmark development, and commercial decision making.
  • Champion the modernization of TAIT’s Project Process (TPP) and adapt it for each market to improve scalability, repeatability, and efficiency.
  • Advance integration between project controls, finance, operations, and engineering functions.
  • Establish global governance standards across estimating, schedule management, and scope/cost change processes.
Operational / Tactical Responsibilities
  • Ensure real‑time visibility to project performance through standardized tools, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement across estimating accuracy, schedule reliability, and administrative throughput.
  • Partner closely with Project Management, Engineering, Production, Fabrication, and Commercial leaders to align delivery inputs and identify risks early.
  • Support bid/no‑bid and major commercial reviews with cost, schedule, and risk insights.
Collaboration & Influence
  • Collaborate with global market leaders to ensure project controls solutions meet the needs of live, brand, LBE and placemaking programs.
  • Work with Finance on budget modeling, forecasting accuracy, and margin‑protection insights.
  • Liaise with external partners and clients when project controls expertise is required.
People Management / Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Estimating/Cost Control, Project Scheduling, and Project Administration teams; set vision, training paths, standards, and annual performance expectations.
  • Build a high‑performance leadership bench across the project controls organization.
  • Coach managers and team members in problem‑solving, commercial acumen, schedule discipline, and stakeholder management.
