Job Description
The Production Coordinator is responsible for the set-up and continuous operation of the processing machine. The Production Coordinator is to balance and control the machine to maximize high case outputs per hour while ensuring that the eggs are assigned to the proper packaging to fill all and future orders while maintaining standards set by Sauder’s expectations.
Work schedule:
Days - Monday-Friday
Hours - 6:00am to approximately 4:30pm or when orders are completed. Overtime may be required based on production.
- Set up packing lanes with assigned boxes or flats and adjust as needed to complete priority orders.
- Serves as a backup to the Assistant Production Manager.
- Maintain proper codes and flock all cartons and eggs, and oversee the packers do the same.
- Responsible for legible codes and correct dates on all cartons (communicate to Material Handlers for corrections if needed).
- Follow the production schedule to ensure all orders are completed.
- Communicate changeovers to the Material Handlers to ensure a smooth changeover.
- Monitor scale settings and line speed to minimize incorrect eggs going into products.
- Notify maintenance immediately when experiencing issues that are affecting shift.
- Maintain a well-balanced machine by assigning the proper amount of packaging to the packers.
- Complete all tabulation reports and end-of-shift reports.
- Complete “Daily Production Run Data” and note issues.
- Must participate in all production and pre-shift meetings.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Aid in the running of production in the absence of the Assistant Production Manager (floor level tasks).
- Basic computer and math skills

- Ability to focus and regain control during stressful situations
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Should be able to lift 30-40 lbs. occasionally.
