The Test Technician will perform automated and bench testing by following acceptance test procedures to verify product performance, compliance, and safety. When a product does not meet specifications, the test technician will perform basic troubleshooting to determine the cause of failure and create non-compliance reports.
Position Responsibilities:- Test various products using standard test equipment.
- Record and save test data.
- Perform basic level troubleshooting.
- Document test failures for rework under direct supervision.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunction with engineering.
- Monitor test equipment to ensure equipment is working correctly.
- Maintain accurate system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to drive the values, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
- Ability to use problem-solving techniques while troubleshooting electronic units and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and handling constant changes in priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows.
- Associate's Degree in Electronics preferred or equivalent military training.
- Ability to read and work from technical documents, schematics, drawings, and datasheets.
- Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing, and processing.
- Be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Production Environment:
Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. - 9/80 work schedule.
