Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or precision machining is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, production orders, and manufacturing documentation. Basic understanding of machining processes, quality standards, and workplace safety practices preferred.
Experience RequirementsMinimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience, including CNC mill setup, machine operation, or related manufacturing experience preferred. Proven ability to operate CNC milling machines and work from established programs, work instructions, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
Comfortable managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced production environment and willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout extended work shifts. Capable of safely lifting, moving, loading, and unloading materials, tooling, and finished components. Ability to work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment while adhering to all safety requirements. Visual ability to inspect parts, verify measurements, and identify quality issues.
Job DutiesSet up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components that meet production and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate machining operations. Prepare tooling, equipment, and materials for production runs while monitoring tooling condition and machine performance. Adjust machine and tool offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality. Perform quality inspections, secondary operations, part finishing, and basic preventive maintenance activities.
Complete production schedules, record labor and material usage, and support departmental goals for quality, delivery, productivity, and cost control. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support efficient manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
