Essential Responsibilities

As the Director of Nursing, you’ll provide clinical leadership for our healthcare center, ensuring exceptional resident care while building a culture where nurses and caregivers can thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing nursing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Oversee all clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, resident safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner closely with leadership, physicians, rehabilitation, admissions, human resources, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding clinical and operational outcomes.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives, survey readiness, and performance improvement efforts while maintaining compliance with CMS and Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations.
  • Develop, coach, and retain nursing talent, helping build the next generation of nursing leaders.
  • Guide staffing, resource management, and departmental operations to ensure efficient, resident-centered care.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable leader for residents, families, physicians, and team members, creating an environment built on trust, communication, and compassion.

You’ll have the authority to lead, the resources to succeed, and the partnership of a leadership team that believes great clinical outcomes begin with supporting the people who deliver care.

At Luther Acres, the Director of Nursing is never expected to lead alone. You’ll work alongside experienced leaders and dedicated clinical, operational, admissions, rehabilitation, and human resources teams—all working toward one goal: delivering exceptional care and creating an outstanding place to live and work.

Qualifications Required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in good standing.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience in a long-term care setting, preferably as a Director of Nursing.
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and long-term care regulations.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing nursing teams.
  • Working knowledge of Point Click Care .
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
Preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Demonstrated success improving quality measures, regulatory outcomes, employee engagement, and clinical operations.
