We are currently seeking an experienced Receiver/Utility Aide who is looking for a rewarding career to join our Culinary Department! This is a full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week and offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a set schedule—Mon, Thursday, Friday 7:00am-3:30pm;
Wednesday 11:00-7:30pm.Every other weekend (7:00-3:30pm) and every other holiday is required. The Receiver/Utility Aide will be working at our Founders Campus in Lititz, PA. What will I do in the role of Receiver/Utility Aide?
- Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries against invoices and purchase orders.
- Confirm correct quantities, quality, expiration dates, check for damage, and communicate delivery discrepancies or quality issues with vendors and management.
- Ensure all products are properly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated using First In, First Out (FIFO)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the walk-in freezer, walk-in coolers, bread area and storeroom
- Support inventory control and accurately complete and update all required receiving and inventory paperwork
- Completes daily and weekly cleaning jobs as scheduled within the kitchen and dining rooms.
- Prepares and runs dishwashing machine, washes pots and pans by hand, cleans pot sink area, and puts pots, pans and tableware in proper places in kitchen and dining rooms.
- Assists Dining Service Aides in transporting food carts
What do I need in the role of Cook?
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age due to job-related requirements
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday rotations
- Knowledge of receiving and inventory measures using First In, First Out (FIFO)
- Ability to work in varying temperatures within the kitchen, walk-in freezer, and walk-in cooler
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety procedures
- Experience with kitchen equipment such as dish machine and garbage disposal
