Position Overview
Auto/Diesel Truck Mechanic/Technician – up to $35.00 per hour based on experience. Monday to Friday, 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), weekends off. The role represents Transervice with our customer, PPL, a major utilities company.
Responsibilities- Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment for a major telecom company.
- Inspect, diagnose and repair bucket truck and digger derrick hydraulic systems.
- Perform PA state inspections and manufacturer‑recommended services.
- Diagnose and repair after‑treatment systems.
- Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive‑train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
- Perform system repairs to include gas and diesel engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, drive‑train, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
- Perform routine maintenance on various types of equipment and vehicles such as gas and diesel engines, bucket lift trucks.
- Must be able to work on various types of vehicles and diesel equipment for a major telecom company.
- Certification from an auto or diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of three years of related experience as a diesel/power mechanic.
- Must have a CDL A or B license.
- A series ASE certifications are a plus.
- Diagnostic skills preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulics.
- Own set of tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (a must).
- Computer skills: MS Office, GMail, TMT (Maintenance Software).
- Able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
