About the RoleThe A&P Aviation Technician performs inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure Venture Jets aircraft remain safe, airworthy, and fully compliant with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily flight operations while reinforcing Venture Jets’ commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
The A&P Aviation Technician works closely with the Director of Maintenance, flight operations personnel, and vendors to maintain aircraft readiness and support Venture Jets’ mission of Flying Without Compromise

In addition to more typical A&P functions, this role plays a significant part in supporting the maintenance department by performing key data entries for logging and invoicing of maintenance, ordering and inventory activities.
50% working on a plane, 50% working on a computer.
Accountabilities and Duties Aircraft Maintenance & Airworthiness- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidance, and company maintenance programs.
- Create and enter invoices for maintenance activity.
- Conduct aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maintain airworthiness and operational reliability.
- Create and enter inventory items for parts.
- Diagnose mechanical, structural, avionics, and system discrepancies.
- Vendor reporting data entry for aircraft hours and programs.
- Support aircraft return-to-service determinations within authorization limits.
- Provide occasional after-hours or on-call maintenance support.
- Working knowledge of FAA maintenance regulations and aircraft systems
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic skills
- Strong documentation and recordkeeping abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive aviation environment
- Ability to pass required background screening and drug/alcohol testing
- Part 91 or Part 135 maintenance experience
- Experience working within Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Familiarity with manufacturer maintenance tracking programs
- Experience supporting fleet aircraft or corporate aviation environments
- Experience maintaining Pilatus PC-24 aircraft
- Experience maintaining Bombardier Learjet 31, Learjet 31A, and Learjet 60 aircraft
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in hangar and ramp environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying weather and temperature conditions
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
- Occasional travel for maintenance support or AOG response
