Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator will oversee inventory management and logistics functions for Outgoing Shipments.

• Schedules shipments to ensure delivery in accordance with contractual delivery schedules and requirements.
• Receives orders and assigns shipments to appropriate Packaging and Shipping personnel.
• Departmental liaison to the Quality and Contracts Departments.
• Monitors inventory via an enterprise resource planning system or similar control system.
• Assists stakeholders with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
• Creates Packaging/Shipment Packets for all outgoing production material.
• Responsible for resolution of all outgoing delivery issues.
• Analyzes inventory and end of line procedures; recommends updates and improvements to the Packaging Supervisor.
• Reviews Contract documents for Shipping Requirements and communicates necessary changes to Packaging Team.
• Accesses Customer Portals to fulfil contractual Shipping requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.

• Ability to analyze contracts for customer (prime) and DoD logistics to ensure delivery compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in a Packaging/Shipping operation of Defense deliverables required.
• 5+ years of experience with Defense Contract, FAR and DFARS review and compliance required.

• Production Environment:
  Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Hours 6:00 - 3:30, Monday through Thursday; every other Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed.
• 9/80 work schedule.
