Youth Ensemble Leader

St. John the Evangelist Church of Little Canada, Little Canada

St. John's of Little Canada is looking for a Choir Director and/or Accompanist for a Youth Ensemble. This part‑time position is approximately 10 hours per week. Responsibilities include repertoire planning, rehearsals, directing Masses, and accompanying. Hours and pay will be adjusted to reflect the scope of the role.

• Degree in Music Education, Music, Theology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience directing choral ensembles for children or youth (K–8 experience preferred).
• Ability to accompany piano or organ (preferred but not required).
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, engage, and develop students of different ages and abilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Catholic liturgy and the role of music in the Mass.
• Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of St. John the Evangelist Church and School.
• Respect and follow Roman Catholic Doctrine and religious practices.
• Pass Archdiocesan background checks and complete VIRTUS training.
