Gas Meter Technician

Q3 Contracting, part of Primoris Gas Operations, seeks experienced Gas Meter Technicians to support territorial activities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The role focuses on troubleshooting, ensuring safety compliance, customer consultation, and detailed service reporting.

• Travel within Minnesota and Wisconsin
• Troubleshoot and diagnose gas system issues
• Ensure gas systems and operations meet all compliance standards, regulations, and safety protocols
• Provide consultation with customers on gas-related matters, offering expert advice to ensure safety and efficiency
• Generate detailed and accurate service field reports, documenting inspections, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions
• Conduct inspections of gas systems and infrastructure to assess performance, identify potential issues, and ensure operational integrity
• Work closely with utility company personnel and other contractors to maintain consistent service quality and safety standards
• Respond to customer inquiries and assist in problem resolution, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions
• Willingness to use basic mobile apps to help complete tasks
• Willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with safety regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for customer consultations or troubleshooting emergencies
• Good communication skills and ability to explain service situations to customers
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in heat, cold, wind, and rain
• Ability to travel (some overnight) throughout MN and WI

Compensation: $30.04/hr.
