Position: Pipefitter / House Piper

Job Overview

Primoris Gas Operations, which includes companies such as Q3 Contracting, ARB, Primoris Distribution Services, Snelson, and Pipe jacking Trenchless, has over 60 years of experience in the natural gas distribution industry. Our focus is providing a safe environment, quality workmanship, and exceptional value to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers via telephone to schedule meter installation.
  • Install new residential gas meters according to utility and code requirements.
  • Safely disconnect and remove old or damaged meters.
  • Maintain safe work zones.
  • Perform gas appliance relights after meter installation or maintenance.
  • Identify and verify gas pressure and regulator type at residential services.
  • Inspect existing piping and meter stations for safety, code compliance, and proper clearances.
  • Rebuild or modify meter sets as required.
  • Perform leak checks and ensure systems are safe before restoring gas service.
  • Document work performed, photos, materials used, and field notes accurately in company systems.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Willingness to use basic mobile apps.
  • Willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety regulations.
  • Willing to work in a traffic control environment on all road types.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for customer consultations or emergency troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate politely and clearly with customers during service visits.
  • Ability to self-motivate and stay organized.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in heat, cold, wind, and rain.
  • Background in plumbing and/or heating preferred.
Compensation

Training period: $31.63/hr fully trained: $33.51/hr.
