The Village of Little Chute, WI (Pop. 12,164) is seeking applicants for the position of Civil Engineering Technician. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing Fox Valley community and contribute as a valued member of the Public Works team. The Civil Engineering Technician will perform a variety of engineering‑related duties, including surveying, design, development, maintenance, GIS, permitting, erosion control, and construction support for a variety of Village projects across multiple departments.

Located in the Fox Valley area along the Fox River, Little Chute was founded in 1899 and has a rich history as a European settlement. The community holds true to its Dutch roots and is home to the famous windmill in the heart of downtown. Little Chute is a full‑service community, a fantastic place to live, work, learn and play. The Village boasts a high‑achieving school district, an affordable growing housing market, and strong recreational assets that host many events to bring people together.

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician with advanced technical knowledge and strategic problem‑solving abilities who can communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, provide direction on complex projects, and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in municipal surveying, design, and construction practices, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the same knowledge.

This non‑exempt FLSA position offers a starting hourly wage of $32.63 to $37.29 (Steps 1–6 of an 11‑step scale), based on qualifications, with eligibility for annual step increases and cost‑of‑living adjustments.
