Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Maintenance Technician
Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform daily tasks
Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders to determine repair procedures
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machines and facility systems
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs as needed
Identify and report faulty operations or materials to management
Operate forklifts, tow motors, and other lift equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Represent the company professionally during internal and external interactions
Complete other tasks and assignments as directed by management
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of experience with production or paper converting machinery preferred
2 years of experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, and HMI or an associate degree or equivalent in electrical engineering technology or electronic systems will be accepted
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, HVAC systems, and basic welding techniques
Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments
Basic computer and math skills
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Forklift certification (initial and renewal every 3 years) and aerial lift certification required (annual)
Must hold a valid driver's license
Flexibility to work varied shifts and be available for on-call support
Occasional travel may be required
